Founded in 1995 by third generation horseman, Michael Rooks, MJR Horse Transportation is a family run company located in Central Virginia that provides nationwide horse transportation. Available 7 days a week to discuss your shipping needs or concerns while your horse is in transit, our goal is to provide your horse with the most efficient and safe transportation from the time they step on our trucks until they reach their final destination.
With the safety and comfort of your horse being paramount at MJR Horse Transportation, our team is both highly qualified and skilled as drivers while also being experienced horse people using first class equipment.
MJR Horse Transportation has also been proud members of the National Horse Carriers Association since 2009 with Michael Rooks serving on the Board of Directors.
At MJR Horse Transportation, whether we are moving your horse locally or nationally, our goal is to get your horse from Point A to Point B in the safest and most efficient manner. We do this by using safe, modern and well maintained equipment that includes air ride semi trucks and trailers, large windows, wide doors with low ramps, and disinfecting the trailers often.
